Hello! Insta have just released their stellar Sunday records debut entitled "Checklist For Love." To stream some of these tunes or watch the webcasts you'll need a Real Audio Player. We've also made a few of the songs available as free MP3 downloads. Once you've got them on your hard drive you will need some sort of MP3 player to play them. If your not hip to this sub-par sounding audio craze I would suggest you hunt one down through ZDNet. The players are usually free so what are you waiting for?

Insta "Checklist For Love" CD
(Sunday)

34 minutes of pure pop bliss! From the mellow acoustic heartbreak of "Leaving With So Little Said" to the upbeat electric guitar chimes of "Brittle," INSTA are all about the purest of pop. Opinions today vary wildly on the actual meaning of pop, but the bands' founders, Adam and Catherine Cooper, will mince no words, however delusional, when offering up a simple definition for the widely overused term: "It's INSTA, of course!" All 11 tunes on "Checklist for Love" attest to their confident claim as every song on their new CD sparkles with a sassy songwriting sensibility that showcases the band's skills juggling equal portions of happy 60's radio pop, sappy 70's lite-rock, mid-80's indie jangle, and early 90's guitar spacey-ness. As for the 00's, INSTA certainly admits to feeling a bit out of place amongst all the gyrating halter-topped hussies, blonde-streaked boy bands, tired punk rockers, and legions of growling mask-toting metalheads.

Insta "Horn Rim Fury" CD EP
(Sunday)

This record was originally released under the short-lived Pastry Heros moniker but has been wisely re-issued by Sunday Records under the Insta name. It's five songs strong, and well, uhhh five songs long. It's a snappy 17 minute affair that has perked many a pop ear and tapped many a teen toe. Recorded to analog 12-track at the band's own Jetpack Studios, this warm fuzzy self professed masterpiece is full of super sunny melodies, strum-happy guitars, bubbling bass lines, and some extra bootie-moving beats. Best comparison we've heard yet is "the Carpenters with a really good distortion pedal" Not bad ehh? This sucker is selling like hotcakes so order now.

Kitten Factor "Surround" EP 7" single
(Sunday)

These 3 songs are fresh from our mixing deck and ready for action!. "Surround" is the a-side and boy, is it a keeper! Spacey guitar work combined with an undeniably catchy vocal line will keep you humming for weeks. The flipside of "Dim" gets sensitive with some sparkling guitars, a bit of chimey electric picking, and a few subtle strokes of reverberated atmospherics thrown in for good fun. It's the perfect song to combat all that mean mean music out there. Closing out the disc is a really ace Zombies cover called "Leave Me Be."

Kitten Factor "Nite-Lite" 7" single
(Sunday)

This rare little record was pressed up in the Czech Republic on a super thick slab of Pepto Bismol pink vinyl and was originally slated for a U.K. release on the Rainbow Quartz label (Cotton Mather. The Dentists, New Radiant Storm King, etc). Well, the pressing plant flip-flopped the labels so that the a-side is the b-side and vice versa, so instead of bearing the thought that 500 of our records would be tossed in the can, we payed the shipping to get them over here and are now offering them for a very special price. This record never saw the light of day in the UK due to the label's inept management. We didn't bother printing up covers for these so all you will get is the record in a nice white sleeve. Highly collectible!

The Pastry Heros " "The Unheard Pleasures of Inane"" Cd Comp. (Inane/Spain)

We were part of this cool Inane Records CD Compilation that came packaged with Factory Magazine which is a big music magazine in Spain. 17 stellar tracks of international pop provided by bands like Adventures in Stereo, Eggstone, The Mopeds, Acid House Kings, The Pale Fountains, and more! Since the cd came with the magazine, finding this release is really tough. These are so hard to find that we don't even have a real copy (a fan in Spain sent us a cdr of it with a color copied cover!)

The Pastry Heros - Live @ Club Congress - Taped live to D.A.T in Tucson, Arizona in 1997

While the band was living in Phoenix, AZ, we would hit the road and drive 2 hours south to the old west town of Tucson to play an occasional show at the historic Club Congress. Here's a few live tracks that were recorded to D.A.T during the summer of 1997. The tracks are a little fuzzy but we think you'll like them.
