06/01/02 - The long-awaited Insta debut LP is finallly here! The album is titled "Checklist for Love" and should be in all the local indies stores as we speak. 06/01/02 - Our classic "Horn Rim Fury" CDep has been wisely reissued under the Insta moniker by Sunday Records along with our new full-length CD. This 5 track pop tingler was originally released in limited quantities back in 1998 on our own Submersible label. It's the perfect intro to the band and all of our sublime guitar-pop skills. 5/22/00 - Many of you know us from our musical endeavors in the Kitten Factor, The Pastry Heros, and even Alison's Halo. Well, after many months of quiet reflection and inner turmoil we have decided to rename ourselves INSTA. Besides having a nice ultramodern pop ring to it, we think it suits our musical stylings a whole lot better. Plus it'll look great printed on skimpy halter tops, thick terry cloth headbands, and small shiny stickers & buttons!
5/15/00 - Two of our songs, "Nite-Lite" and "Sydney" will be appearing on the Apricot Records "Airpop 2" Compilation which will be out sometime in mid-August. Word from our friendly contact at Apricot's top secret German Headquarters is that the release will be a double CD full of "Pure PoP Hits." The first "Airpop" Compilation was a real doozie so expect something really special. We'll keep you posted!
5/01/00 - The 23 track international pop compilation, "Popular World" is out now on the fabulous Sky Blue Records. These are the same fine folks who publish the top-notch Dagger fanzine so you can expect pure pop quality. Aside from our snappy track, "Brittle," there are also other amazing songs by the likes of The Ladybug Transistor, St Christopher, The Relationships, Sweet William, Pacific Ocean, and many more! 1/05/00 - The "Surround" 7" single is now available on Sunday Records! It's a stellar 3 song slab of vinyl featuring the songs "Surround" and "Dim" as well as an completely ace Zombies cover entitled "Leave Me Be." The first 300 records going out will be packaged with a bonus 7" containing the songs "Nite Lite" and "Sparkle" from our top selling "Horn Rim Fury" EP. 11/15/99 - We've just been featured in latest issue of The Big Takeover magazine (Issue 44). We have always been "Rabid" fans of this stellar publication and as far as we're concerned we've reached the pinnacle of press coverage by being covered in it. For those of you not familiar with this biyearly zine, It's a monstrous thing full of great in-depth interviews, tons of music reviews, and a great read. We highly recommend it!
